Camp Willochra, an established campsite since 1961, is owned by the Anglican Diocese of Willochra and is a non-profit organisation. We believe strongly in the Christian development of youth in our community and work towards edifying and discipling these youth for the sake of the gospel.
We also exist to bless, encourage, and strengthen anyone who comes to stay with us with a Christ-Like Love that enriches the soul. We see many times in scripture the benefits of “getting away” and we wish to help facilitate such a retreat away from daily routines and the busyness of life. Camp Willochra is located on 8 acres of land nestled at the bottom of Mt Remarkable in beautiful Melrose, South Australia.
With the view of Mt Remarkable in our backyard, Camp Willochra offers a relaxing and scenic venue for your camp. Due to our convenient location, you will also find lots to do; from bike riding the many tracks in Mt Remarkable, to rock climbing, abseiling and canoeing in the neighbouring towns of Melrose.
Catering for camps is provided
Camp Willochra consists of 3 wings surrounding a central oval. There is a total of 18 bedrooms containing bunk beds for between 4 to 7 people. Bannon Wing and Jubilee Wing have an ensuite bathroom attached to each room and American wing has a bathroom at each end the building.

Is well lit and spacious. It has a cool room, box freezer, industrial size gas stoves and a microwave oven. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied.
Our cosy dining hall includes a small kitchenette and fridge, with mugs, cups and an urn supplied. The room also has fans and strip heaters. Tables and chairs can be arranged to suit your group.
Relax in our coffee shop with a barista coffee and a book. Browse the bookshelves or spend some time in quiet contemplation.
Our delishes coffees, hot chocolates and chai lattes are available by the camp managers (both trained baristas) for $3 each.
Have a barbecue on a summer evening, or on a sunny day for lunch.
Our pool is open in summer months. It is located next to a large oval for sport and other activities (*you will need to bring your own sports equipment).
The Bishop Jones Memorial Hall is a great place for wet weather activities. Trestle tables are supplied for games, art and craft and other activities.
The Chapel of Christ the King is a multi purpose room suitable for worship services and group activities. It is equipped with a sound system and projector suitable for presentations, movies, etc.
Sit around the campfire on a cold winter night. If you would like to use the campfire please bring your own wood, otherwise we can provide wood for a small fee of $50 per night.

No money, cash or cheques will be taken at Camp Willochra by the Camp Manager or any other Person(s) in authority. An invoice will be forwarded to your nominated group leader following your camp.
